We are excited to annouce that we will be part of Open Studios Joburg with August House being open on Sunday 29 May from 10:30 to 4:00pm. As the largest artist studio space in the city, we provide visitors with an amazing overview of emerging, mid-career and established artists, all in one space.

Initiated by the META foundation, OPEN STUDIOS JOBURG will highlight seven art buildings, across the historical CBD and beyond, where visitors will be invited to meet the artists, interact with the works, and enjoy a programme of exhibitions, walkabouts and performance.

There will be a free shuttle service available on the day. Three shuttles will move in a loop between the buildings, with transport available every 15 minutes. NOTE: We have had huge interest in this event and as such shuttle waiting times might be impacted. We ask for your patience in this regard. Access to all events is FREE, but visitors must register here Sunday 29 May for their free tickets. With almost 100 artists participating, unique programming for the two days, and plans for future editions, OPEN STUDIOS is set to become a landmark event on Joburg’s cultural calendar directly supporting Joburg’s creative economy by creating a platform for artists to sell their work.
