a Zimbabwean-born, Johannesburg-based artist (b. 1977), is pioneering a distinctive mixed-media practice that fuses shweshwe cloth offcuts with acrylic on canvas, embracing a sustainable approach to contemporary art. A graduate of the Mzilikazi Art and Craft Centre in Bulawayo, his early artistic journey began in primary school, where teachers recognized his talent and encouraged him to create classroom charts. After a decade as a pottery ware decorator, Zenzo transitioned fully into painting in 2007, pursuing his passion with bold creativity. His works are celebrated for their vibrant colours, cartoon-like figures, and deep inspiration from women’s daily lives, cultural memory, and imagination.
