Born in Boschfontein, Mpumalanga, Samantha Mpumelelo Maseko is a contemporary artist currently based in Johannesburg. In 2020, she successfully completed a transformative three-year Printmaking course at Artist Proof Studio, shaping her artistic journey. Maseko’s work serves as a poignant exploration of black femininity and identity, weaving together narratives through various mediums. Her artistic arsenal includes the evocative strokes of oil painting, the intricate details of print media, the dynamic fusion of collage, and the textured layers of mixed media.
