Meli Ndlovu (b. 1 March 2004, Johannesburg) is a self-taught multidisciplinary artist born and raised in Johannesburg CBD, South Africa. His practice spans mixed media, painting. Murals, printmaking, and photography, drawing deeply from the energy of the city- its graffiti, music, and the everyday rhythm of urban life. Exploring themes of identity, mental health, and musicality, Meli’s work reflects both the internal emotional landscape and the external vibrancy of Johannesburg’s streets, creating a dialogue between personal experience and collective urban culture.
Meli attended fordsburg Primary School, completing their primary education in 2016, and later matriculated from Vector College in 2021. The following year, he pursued a short course in graphic design, further expanding his visual language and creative approach. Meli’s work has been featured at Back to the City in Newtown, Victoria Yards, and Constitution Hill, and has been sold through Asisebenze Art Atelier. In June 2025, Meli participated in the Motion and Expression exhibition at Origins Art Gallery. They are currently developing their printmaking practice at Artist Proof Studio.
