At August House Open Studios, you’ll have the chance to:

🎨 Explore Studios: Step inside the workspaces of talented artists and witness the process of art creation up close.

🖼️ Diverse Artworks: View an eclectic range of artworks, from paintings and sculptures to photography and mixed media, showcasing the diversity of artistic expression.

🛍️ Art for Sale: Discover unique pieces to add to your personal collection or to gift to a loved one. Support local artists and take home a one-of-a-kind creation.

The programme of activities includes:

  • The artists opening their doors to you
  • “Come as you art” – a group exhibition of August House artists
  • “INSIZI YE BHODWE” – a solo exhibition by Lindo Zwane, curated by Palesa Suthane
  • “Reflections from a custodian of moments” – a solo exhibition of Ryan Enslin
  • Lindiwe Hlatswayo – a presentation of hand beaded artwork and the launch of her new product line
  • The Business of being an artist – a showcase of emerging talent
  • A kids area
  • Food & Beverages on sale
  • A shuttle service from underground parking (free of charge)

Tickets can be purchased on the day but will be more expensive at the Door.

Free parking will be available at Access City (located here) with a shuttle bus running to August House and back again every 15-20 minutes. There is no parking available within August House. Tickets are R30 for adults and R10 for children under the age of 18.
