Mbali Tshabalala is a South African multidisciplinary artist, curator, and creative entrepreneur. She holds a Fine and Applied Arts degree from Tshwane University of Technology and studied printmaking at Artist Proof Studio, with additional expertise in Graphic Design and Darkroom photography.
Transitioning from over seven years in curatorial roles, including assistant curator at Zeitz MOCAA, her work reflects a “curator as artist” approach. Tshabalala founded Collective UNTITLD and Anecdotes Gallery, enriching South Africa’s art scene.
Her art is featured in collections like Rand Merchant Bank, JP Morgan Chase, and Spier Art Trust, with exhibitions at Constitution Hill, Johannesburg Art Gallery, and major auction houses, including Strauss & Co. and Aspire Art Auction.
