Manelisi Mqiniseni Vilakazi is a South African Contemporary artist, born 2001 in Johannesburg. He grew up oLundi in rural areas of KwaZulu-Natal, Where his inspiration and passion for art is grounded; in a place where it is not easy for a child to pursue his voice of belief. In 2013, he relocated to Johannesburg to live with his parents. He matriculated 2020 at Zonkizizwe Secondary School; In 2024, he graduated at Artist Proof Studio completing a three year course of print-making. He has participated in a professional practice visual art workshop by the Meta Foundation and Art Source at August House in 2024 and attended a workshop of Umsizi Nopende competition. In 2024 he was one of five finalist chosen to edition his art work by the Constitutional Court and his work is also part of the Constitutional Court Art Collection as a winner of the student completion.
