Khotso Motsoeneng (b. 1993 Free State, South Africa) is a young emerging artist. He holds a diploma in photography which he acquired from the Tshwane University of Technology. Khotso is a self taught painter and printmaker, who has participated in workshops and a number of group exhibitions in Pretoria and Johannesburg, in 2019 he was selected as one of the top 4 finalists for the Cassirer Welz Award. He draws his inspiration from a lot of self introspection; Motsoeneng is currently based in Johannesburg where he works as a freelance artist. His work pursues the expressiveness of color as emotion. These patterns have now developed into his way of exploring the stories he feels but cannot express in words.
