August House will be opening its doors to the public on Sunday 31 August for Contra.Joburg 2025

This event will see the Artists’ Studios across Joburg CBD being open to the public across two days. This unique opportunity allows guests to truly explore the visual arts and hear directly from the artists. Come and see amazing artworks, meet the artists in their studios and have a wonderful day out. We have something for everyone!!!

The programme of activities includes:

• An interactive kids area
• Over 40 artists for you to meet and see their work
• Food & Beverages on sale
• A shuttle service from and to each venue (free of charge)
• Two group exhibitions
• Camilla Pontiggia  Solo exhibition

Tickets can be purchased on the day but will be more expensive at the door.

Free parking will be available at Access City (located here) with a shuttle bus running to August House and back again every 15-20 minutes. There is no parking available within August House. Tickets are R120 online before the day OR R150 at the door. Children under the age of 18 are free.
