Mpho M Machate was born in Tembisa hospital in 1984, on the 24th of September. In his early years, Machate was fascinated with clay. He would create miniature animals, houses and car models while playing with his friends without knowing that this would lead to a career in Fine Art. His career as a Fine Artist began with the 2017 Touch group exhibition at Turbine Art
Fair. His works form part of the private collection of the J.P Morgan Chase Art Collection and ArtBank of South Africa. Machate works from August House first floor, studio 7, Johannesburg.
