Jerry Lion

Jerry Lion is an artist who predominantly works with acrylics, pastels, oil and charcoal. He realised his gifts whilst young when his father told him he inherited them from his late uncle Julian Motau who was also an artist. Lion moved to Gauteng in pursuit of his dream of becoming a fulltime artist. He was met by the then African Feelings Art Gallery and was introduced to SA Post Office Philatelic Services where he worked part time designing stamps. He won first prize in Young and Upcoming Artist in the then Black Like Us Exhibition which was held annually at Fourways Art Gallery.
