Blessing was born in April 1994 in Johannesburg and grew up in a place called Troyeville which hugely influences his work. Blaai first took on art
seriously through Art Studios 32 where he learned how to paint, draw and printmaking. He then went on to do printmaking at the Artist Proof Studio in Johannesburg for 3 years. Blaai mainly explores with paints, water color and ink media, and more recently, mixed media. Apart from conceptual art, He is a muralist and has done both public and private commissions as well as assisted in a number of other murals commissioned by the city.
