Bekezela Mabena, born in 1996 in South Africa, spent part of his childhood in Zimbabwe before returning to South Africa in 2008. These diverse experiences have profoundly influenced his artistic vision. His passion for visual arts emerged at Jiyana Secondary School in Tembisa, earning him the Matric 2017 Visual Art Award. Bekezela advanced his skills at Artist Proof Studio, completing his third year in 2020. Beyond his studio practice, he is actively involved in art curation and exhibitions, contributing significantly to the art community.
